Effective Date: July 22, 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Monolayer platform, services, website, and software (the “Service”), provided by Monolayer, Inc. (“Monolayer,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Monolayer provides tools and infrastructure to help developers build, deploy, and manage full-stack applications directly within their own AWS accounts. You are solely responsible for your use of the Service and for any infrastructure, deployments, or code created through Monolayer.
You agree to use the Service only in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not misuse, interfere with, reverse engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
All deployments using Monolayer occur within your own AWS account, which you control. You retain full ownership of your infrastructure, source code, configurations, and data.
We do not access your applications or data unless you explicitly authorize us to do so for support or diagnostic purposes. You are solely responsible for managing permissions, billing, and configurations within your AWS environment.
You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
All content and software provided by Monolayer — including but not limited to the Monolayer SDK, console, APIs, documentation, and website — are protected by intellectual property laws and remain the property of Monolayer or its licensors.
You may use the Monolayer SDK and tools in accordance with their licenses for the sole purpose of building and deploying applications using the Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer Monolayer’s software unless expressly permitted by its license.
Monolayer integrates with third-party services such as AWS, GitHub, and others. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and policies. Monolayer is not responsible for the functionality, security, or failures of those third-party services.
You acknowledge that AWS fees and resource usage are your responsibility and that Monolayer does not manage your AWS billing.
Monolayer currently offers free access for a limited trial period of 3 months starting from the date you onboard. We do not currently charge for the Service, but we reserve the right to introduce paid plans or pricing in the future. If we do, we will:
If you choose not to continue with a paid plan once pricing is introduced, you may cancel your use of the Service at any time.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Monolayer does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or meet your specific needs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Monolayer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or use — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
In any case, our total liability for any claim under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for use of the Service in the 6 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
We may update these Terms periodically. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the website or email. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or abuse the platform.
Upon termination, your access to Monolayer will cease, but you retain all infrastructure and applications deployed in your own AWS account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco, California.
